Well, there was some magic at play, and it was pretty awesome. So the big question all along, to me, hasn't been whether Jon Snow would come back — it's been whether his brush with death would make the character more interesting. Anyone but Jon! Is Jon Snow dead? Pay off finally came at the end of the second episode. But, how did Jon Snow come back to life on Game of Thrones? Not Jon! The wildlings returned to take Castle Black from the men of the Night's Watch that betrayed Jon Snow.
And now suddenly there’s an actual hero who can’t seem to die until the story needs him to. It’s fairly certain that the wolf had something to do with Jon Snow coming back to life. Since he created Stoneheart and her idea and Varamyr for some 10 years at minimum.
